I got started in content design straight out of my Masters degree. I had been doing research into how information is disseminated online, and I wanted to see it from the other side. I joined Cleo AI as the 8th employee, to lead conversation design and UX writing at the AI fintech startup. When I joined, Cleo was in beta with 50k users. When I left, we had launched in the U.S., built and released a native app, sailed through Series A, and had almost 4m users.
Since then I’ve worked in content design across a range of industries, from generative AI to events and ticketing. I shifted to consulting and contracting in 2020 so that I could get my PhD from Oxford—keeping a foot in the tech world throughout. I recently moved to the U.S., and now live in Rhode Island with my spouse and bite-y but beautiful cat.
